Delve into the intricate tapestry of history and theology through the eyes of David Maher, a storyteller who weaves the past with the present, offering narratives rich with mythic significance.

David Maher

Originally from London, David Maher now resides in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a move made in 2018 to dedicate his focus to writing. This transition from the historic heart of the United Kingdom to the vibrant energy of Southeast Asia informs a perspective uniquely suited to exploring themes of transformation and the intersection of ancient traditions with modern life.

Following the 2020 publication of a historical saga, he turned his attention in 2021 to a new, ambitious project: The Beatrice Chronicles. This seven-book literary urban fantasy series is the culmination of a lifelong passion for mythology, history, and the intricate architecture of compelling characters. His work seeks to grapple with complex moral questions of justice, mercy, and free will, creating narratives that are both mythic in scope and deeply human.

In addition to his writing, he is a Lecturer of English Language and Linguistics at University of Economics and Finance (UEF) in Ho Chi Minh City, where his academic work complements his creative pursuits. When not navigating the cosmic architecture of his novels, David is anchored by his family. The time spent with his wife, daughters, and grandsons provides a vital, human counterpoint to the mythic worlds he chronicles, sustaining the story’s essential depth
